Saltillo grew as people moved just north of Tupelo for the schools and the quiet. A lot of the housing stock is late-century and newer subdivision brick, mixed with older homes closer to the original town and small acreage places along the roads running out toward the county line.
Town in the middle, country on the edges. Anything with a few acres north of town prices differently from the same house inside a subdivision.
Buyer interest here is mostly rental and resale rather than heavy rehab. Because Saltillo houses tend to be newer than Tupelo's older core, the work involved is more often cosmetic.
Smaller rental pool than Tupelo but stable. Single family rentals here get held a long time.
